Where is my overthruster?

With the PMC always taking place the first weekend of the month, August has always been my highest mileage month of the year.

I’m not going to make a big noise about it, but I just biked 785 miles in the month of August, which is the most I’ve ever biked in any single month. That’s an average of 22.5 miles per day, or 157 miles per week. It beats my old record (697 miles in August 2004) by 88 miles (12 percent).

Oh, and right now I’m 52 miles shy of breaking my record for annual total miles (3,800). My cycling year begins/ends in mid-October, and I figure I should end up with 4,200 to 4,400 miles when the year ends in six more weeks.

It’s been a big year!
