Apr. 11th, 2004 12:24 pmFinished the first half of the cycling year with 915 miles, which is second only to my first year, when I'd done 1290 miles by this time. In recent weeks I've also bought a new cyclometer with two new features. The first is a cadence monitor, and it appears that my preferred range is a cadence of 105 to 110. The other feature is a built-in stopwatch, which I've been using to measure my times on the local hills, with an eye toward recording what my personal bests are on each. And this time time of year I'm once again frustrated by how much conditioning I lose over the winter, as 60 miles now is as painful as 120 miles in August...
